Marks Brothers Inc. is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician (Laser/Plasma Focus) to support and maintain our manufacturing operations. This is a hands‑on, technical role focused primarily on servicing, troubleshooting, and repairing laser and plasma cutting equipment, with additional responsibility for press brakes, welding equipment, and general shop machinery.
While this role involves maintaining preventative maintenance schedules and coordinating repair priorities, it is not a people‑management position. The ideal candidate is a skilled technician who enjoys working directly on equipment, takes ownership of machine reliability, and wants to grow their technical capabilities within a manufacturing environment.
- Primary schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Overtime and weekend work required as needed when equipment is down, or production demands require support
- Perform hands‑on maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of:
- Laser and plasma cutting systems (primary focus)
- Press brakes
- Welders
- Small tools and general shop equipment
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and prioritize repairs to minimize production downtime
- Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, cleaning, lubrication, and adjustments
- Maintain and update preventative maintenance schedules and documentation
- Calibrate and verify equipment using precision measuring instruments
- Work closely with production leadership to coordinate maintenance needs
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and equipment history
- Identify opportunities for equipment improvements and increased reliability
- Follow and enforce company safety policies and regulatory requirements
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to equipment performance and uptime
- Proven hands‑on experience maintaining and repairing laser and/or plasma cutting equipment
- Experience with press brakes, welders, and fabrication shop equipment strongly preferred
- Strong mechanical and technical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, electrical diagrams, and blueprints
- Comfortable working independently and making sound decisions under pressure
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Good written and verbal English communication skills
- Willingness and desire to grow technical expertise and take increasing ownership of equipment reliability
- Prior experience in a fabrication or industrial manufacturing environment is a plus
- Successful completion of a criminal background check
- A negative drug test, including THC, in accordance with company policy and applicable law
