About us
Christman Cable Inc. is looking for experienced Bore Locators for work in Belton, Texas and the surrounding areas. We provide dry utility services with specialty in the power & communications sectors. We pride ourselves in our quality of work and upholding the reputation as being the "go to" contractor for our industry in Texas.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct bore locating using various methods and equipment, such as DigiTrak F2 & F5 and Subsite Locators.
- Read and interpret blueprints, maps, and drawings to accurately locate underground utilities.
-Mark the location of underground utilities with paint, flags, or other approved markers.
- Operate backhoes and forklifts to excavate and expose utility lines for inspection and repair.
- Perform field service tasks, including repairing damaged utility lines and installing new utility lines.
- Maintain detailed records of utility locations, inspections, and repairs.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements:
-1-2 years locating experience is a must!
-A demonstrated working knowledge of telecommunications.
-Proficiency in operating backhoes, forklifts, and other relevant equipment.
-Ability to locate drilling in both standard and high-risk areas, such as areas with live utilities.
-Ability to read and interpret blueprints, maps, and drawings accurately.
-Knowledge of operation and maintenance of equipment.
-Knowledge of Underground Construction practices.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
-Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
-Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks in various weather conditions.
-Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
