The primary function for the Mill Operator is to safely operate equipment and feed rubber into a two-roll mill, feed rubber onto conveyor belts, and cut finished rubber.

- Reads and interprets job documents for mixing and material instructions needed to mill rubber components.
- Employ established set-up and Standard Operating Procedures which pertain to the machines, tooling, gaging, and other necessary equipment.
- Possess and when necessary, utilize the authority to stop any production operation which is unsafe
- Observes the milling machine operation and adjusts controls such as mill speed, lubrication, and density.
- Continuously tends the machine and the material, feeding material back into the rollers and sometimes adding components until the material reaches proper consistency.
- Verifies dimensions of rubber material using various instruments such as rulers, gauges, and calipers
- Delivers samples to the on-site lab for testing, as necessary.
- Removes rubber material and stack as required for shipment.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities.
