Position: Starlink Installation Technician

Location: Nationwide (Various Locations)

Job Type: Part-time

Responsibilities:

* Perform professional and efficient Starlink satellite internet installations at residential and commercial properties.

* Conduct site surveys to determine optimal installation locations and ensure signal strength.

* Mount Starlink dishes and associated hardware securely and according to manufacturer specifications.

* Run and terminate cabling, ensuring neat and professional installations.

* Configure and troubleshoot Starlink routers and network equipment.

* Provide clear and concise instructions to customers on how to use their Starlink system.

* Maintain accurate records of installations, including site surveys, installation reports, and customer information.

* Adhere to all safety protocols and company standards.

* Maintain a clean and organized work vehicle and equipment.

* Provide excellent customer service and represent SimpleUtility professionally.

Qualifications:

* Proven experience in satellite dish installation, telecommunications, or related fields (preferred).

* Strong understanding of basic networking principles and equipment.

* Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

* Strong communication and customer service skills.

* Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

* Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

* Ability to pass a background check.

* Experience with Starlink installations is a significant plus.

* Comfort with heights and working on ladders.

* Own basic tools required for installation.

Duties

- Perform fiber splicing and network installations for various telecommunication projects.

- Install and configure Cisco routers and other networking equipment.

- Conduct field service activities, troubleshooting issues related to computer networking and telephony systems.

- Utilize hand tools and specialized equipment such as an ohmmeter to ensure proper installation and functionality of cabling systems.

- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.

- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.

- Provide exceptional customer service during installations and maintenance visits.

Qualifications

- Proven experience in service technician roles within the telecommunications industry.

- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to work with low voltage electrical systems.

- Familiarity with Ethernet cabling standards and practices.

- Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams related to network installations.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients and team members.
