Welder Helper

Overview

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Welder Helper to support our welding team in Athens, AL. The ideal candidate will assist welders in fabricating and assembling metal structures, ensuring high-quality work in a safe and efficient manner. This entry-level position offers opportunities for growth and hands-on experience in a dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities

- Assist welders by preparing materials, setting up equipment, and cleaning work areas.

- Handle and transport materials, tools, and finished products to and from job sites.

- Grind, sand, or polish welds and metal surfaces to ensure smooth finishes.

- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols.

- Follow instructions from welders and supervisors to support project completion.

- Inspect materials and welds for defects and report issues to the team lead.

Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

- Previous experience in construction, manufacturing, or metalwork is a plus but not required.

- Basic knowledge of welding tools and techniques is an advantage.

- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.

- Willingness to learn and work as part of a team.
