Job Summary

The position involves analyzing client business requirements to address technical challenges in Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and Energy Management System (EMS) applications, specifically focusing on Generation and Dispatch Control (GDC), Inter-Control Center Communication Protocol (ICCP), Transmission Security Management (TSM), and Dispatch Training Simulator (DTS) for Xcel Energy's Bulk Electric System (BES). The role requires expertise in system configuration, problem analysis, and real-time technology troubleshooting. Acting as a communication bridge and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for EMS applications, this position collaborates with various teams to ensure seamless operations.

Responsibilities

•

Gather and analyze client business requirements related to SCADA and EMS applications.

•

Identify technical issues within GDC, ICCP, TSM, DTS, and other relevant systems.

•

Configure systems and troubleshoot problems in real-time technology environments.

•

Serve as a communication liaison between business partners, IT teams, application support personnel, and infrastructure teams.

•

Assist in configuring interfaces between EMS applications and enterprise systems like ESB and APIs.

Skills

•

Proficiency in Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems.

•

Strong analytical skills for identifying technical problems.

•

Excellent communication abilities to act as an SME between different teams.

•

Experience with real-time technology troubleshooting.

•

Knowledge of Enterprise Services Bus (ESB) and Application Programmer Interfaces (APIs).
