We are hiring a Finance Summer Student for a full-time paid internship located at Glendale, AZ.

The Summer Internship (Finance) position would a temporary position (4 months beginning May to end August) with responsibility to assist the US Regulated Water Finance group in analysis and accounting.

What you’d be responsible for:

•

Assisting the accounting department with tasks such as data entry, preparing accounting reports, and reconciling GL accounts.

•

Handling transactional accounting (cash receipts), assisting with accounting entries, preparing periodic reports, supporting month-end closing, and performing general accounting tasks

•

Shadowing accounting department staff members, assisting with financial report preparation, and learning to track and analyze financial information.

•

Preparing financial documents and assisting in the creation of financial models

•

Demonstrate a high-performance, high-discipline, safe, accountable, focused, innovative, and achievement-oriented manner of working.

What’s required to be successful:

•

Currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution, ideally in a Finance, Accounting, or Economics related program

•

Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial statements

•

Proficiency in GAAP, business intelligence software, research skills, and spreadsheet usage.

•

Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

•

Demonstrates professionalism and reliability in all tasks

•

Works collaboratively with team members and mentors

•

Communicates effectively in both verbal and written formats

•

Eager to learn and apply new skills
