Brief Description

The Keys Energy Center is a 761 MW 2X1 Natural Gas-Fired Combined Cycle Power Plant operated by Alpha Generation and CAMS. It features Siemens STG6-5000F turbines, an SCR system, and a 7-mile natural gas pipeline. The EH&S Manager ensures compliance with environmental regulations, OSHA standards, and CAMS safety protocols while overseeing the facility's EH&S programs.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

•

Develop and maintain environmental compliance programs to meet federal, state, and local regulations.

•

Serve as the primary contact for regulatory agencies (EPA, MDE) and coordinate inspections and permit renewals.

•

Oversee air quality testing, wastewater sampling, and compliance audits.

•

Conduct EH&S training and lead safety initiatives with station staff and contractors.

•

Manage EHS-related budgets, contractors, and consultants.

•

Prepare and submit compliance reports and records to regulatory agencies.

•

Investigate incidents and ensure corrective actions are implemented.

Requirements

•

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in the power industry or a regulated environment.

•

5+ years’ EH&S experience, preferably in power generation.

•

Maryland I1 Operator License (or ability to obtain within 18 months).

•

Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications and technical reporting.

•

Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

•

Ability to travel and work extended hours as needed.

Desired Qualifications

•

Experience with Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS) and plant operations.

•

Familiarity with asset management and O&M provider models.
