Steel Shop Foremen

Are you an experienced and highly motivated leader in steel fabrication? We are seeking a dedicated Shop Foreman to oversee all operations and procedures within our structural steel and miscellaneous fabrication shop. You will be instrumental in managing our team, optimizing workflow, and ensuring the highest quality in all projects.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee all operations and procedures of the steel fabrication shop, from small to large projects

- Manage a team of up to 12 employees, including their daily duties, workflow, and attendance logging

- Direct the daily activities of our driver and manage yard upkeep.

- Ensure adherence to AWS and AISC fabrication and erection processes.

- Read and interpret drawings, and track production using manufacturing software; computer proficiency is a plus

- Operate and oversee the use of various fabrication equipment, including Press Brake, Shear, CNC Plasma Table, Ironworker, and Pipe Benders

- Perform all styles of welding (MIG, TIG, Stick)

- Supervise the fabrication of stairs, rails, columns, and beams

- Work with mild steel, aluminum, and stainless materials

- Manage shipping and receiving of all manufactured products

Qualifications:

- Proven experience running a fabrication shop and managing a team of around 10 people.

- 10 years of construction experience (preferred)

- Strong knowledge of AWS and AISC fabrication and erection processes.

- Proficiency in reading drawings and using manufacturing software

- Experience with various fabrication equipment (Press Brake, Shear, CNC Plasma Table, Ironworker, Pipe Benders, etc.)

- Valid Driver's License (Required)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
