Expected salary range of $181,800 to $202,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
Manage the overall site preparation and execution of forced, planned, and refueling outages while ensuring shutdown risk levels, scope growth, and budget are maintained within limits. Directly supervise the activities of the Outage Work Control Department, while monitoring the activities of other Clean Energy Centers (CECs) and Constellation Nuclear organizations in support of outage preparation and execution. Fulfill managerial responsibilities regarding assigned staff and department while actively participating in the development and implementation of process improvements.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
•Manage refueling outage preparation, planning, and scheduling of both the current and upcoming cycle (including enforcement of scope control and coordination of HIT Teams and Work Window Managers) while ensuring the status of these activities is accurately communicated to both Station and Constellation Nuclear Management
•Manage the preparation, planning, and scheduling of non-refueling outages (forced, planned and maintenance) during the current cycle (including enforcement of scope control and coordination of HIT Teams and Work Window Managers) while ensuring the status of these activities is accurately communicated to both CECs and Constellation Nuclear Management.
•During outage execution, provide day-to-day outage management (including supervision of HIT Team, Work Window Manager, and Outage Control Center activities as applicable) while enforcing scope/budget control and communicating outage schedule and status to both Station and Constellation Nuclear Management.
•Participate as key manager in Business Planning, Budget, and Business Performance review regarding CEC Outage Management. Fulfill managerial responsibilities regarding assigned staff (e.g., Employment, Development, Compensation, Performance Evaluation, etc.).
•Ensures consistent and effective work force practices through assigned supervisors/functions.
•Manage the development, implementation, maintenance, and communication of the Shutdown Risk Program.
•Manage the CEC lessons learned program including maintenance, implementation and communication of the Lessons Learned Program.
•All other job assignments and/or duties pursuant to company policy or as directed by management to include but not limited to: (Emergency Response duties and/or coverage, Department duty coverage and/or call out, and positions outside of department in support of outage activities etc.)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
•Bachelor of science or a degree in a technical discipline (e.g. Chemistry, Construction, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics) with 10 years of nuclear power plant experience OR
•Current or previous Senior Reactor Operator license with 10 years of nuclear power plant experience OR
•Associate's degree in a technical discipline (e.g. Chemistry, Construction, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics) with 12 years of nuclear power plant experience OR
•High school diploma/GED with 14 years of nuclear power plant experience
•Supervisory or managerial experience
•Demonstrated leadership in refueling outages
•Maintain minimum access requirement or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
•Working knowledge of PC and mainframe-based scheduling tools
•Current or prior Senior Reactor License or certification
