Senior Drafter

Chief Ethanol is seeking a Senior Drafter to join the Chief team. This position will play a critical role in supporting the design, construction, and maintenance of both ethanol facilities by creating precise technical drawings and schematics. This position requires a strong understanding of industrial processes, mechanical systems, and CAD software to ensure that all designs meet industry standards, safety regulations, and project specifications.

Job Responsibilities:

- Maintain computer literacy in AutoCAD, FOCUS, MBS, IFS and other tools/systems available.

- Prepare erection drawings with accurate part identification, quantities, and complete sections and details for proper installation of materials.

- Prepare fabrication documents that include accurate part identification, quantities, material utilization, and complete information about holes, clips, and plates in assemblies.

- Keep accurate records of project hours, time worked, and production manager informed of schedule status and potential delays.

- Serve as a subject matter expert on multiple drafting processes and product applications.

Education:

- High School Diploma or GED required.

- Associate’s degree or technical certification in drafting, engineering technology, or a related field is preferred.

Qualifications and Skill Requirements:

- 5+ years of experience in drafting.
