Project Manager - Surveying

General Summary

The Project Manager (PM) guides a project from conception to completion. The goal of a project manager is to communicate effectively with internal production staff and with clients and project stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to a high-quality standard. This is a management role, and a project manager is responsible for coordinating with other team members to ensure that their tasks are completed on time and within budget. Several projects are typically in the process of being completed at any given time, and a Project Manager must be able to manage multiple aspects of the process simultaneously.

Project Managers work cross-functionally and communicate with all parties involved in a project. Project Managers plan, designate, and task project resources, prepare budgets, monitor progress, and keep stakeholders informed. The PM is responsible for assigning tasks to the right team members, checking their progress, and ensuring that each project is completed on time and to the highest standard. The PM is also responsible for updating all systems daily and verifying schedules for drafting and fieldwork tasks. The PM ensures compliance with all applicable regulations and requirements, including boundary calculations and legal issues.
