- Schedule: Monday to Friday 6AM to 4:45PM, must be open to working overtime and some weekends as needed
- Position Summary: As a CNC Brake Machine Operator, you'll be responsible for bending and forming sheet metal parts using CNC brake machines. You'll work closely with your team to ensure parts are fabricated accurately and meet quality standardssupporting our mission to deliver reliable electrical power solutions for the oil & gas, marine, and energy industries.
Essential Accountabilities
Operate CNC brake press machines to bend and form sheet metal parts.
Review part lists and CNC programs for each job.
Load materials onto the brake press and secure them safely.
Work with senior operators to adjust machine settings as needed.
Measure finished parts using calipers and protractors to ensure accuracy.
Stage completed parts for the next step in fabrication.
Perform basic machine maintenance, including tool sharpening and replacement.
Keep your work area clean, safe, and organized.
Learn and train with 1st class operators to build your skills.
Qualifications
Education & Certifications:
High school diploma or GED, Required.
Forklift certification preferred.
Experience
25 years in CNC Press Brake machine operation, Required.
Skills & Knowledge
Mechanical skills: Ability to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot brake press equipment
Blueprint reading: Understand part drawings and technical instructions
Math & measuring: Comfortable with basic math and using tools like calipers and protractors
Safety awareness: Committed to maintaining a clean and safe work environment
Teamwork: Able to collaborate and take direction from senior operators
Computer skills: Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and familiarity with CNC programming systems
Tools & Equipment You May Use:
CNC mills, lathes, laser cutters, punch presses, calipers, micrometers, Allen wrenches, grinders, forklifts, cranes, shears, and other standard fabrication tools.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching required.
Environment
Manufacturing floor may involve high heat, humidity, noise, and exposure to mechanical parts and airborne particles.
Safety
PPE must be worn; safety compliance is mandatory.
