About the role:

Reporting to the Supervisor, Mine Maintenance the Plumber or Pipefitter / Gas Fitter is responsible for performing regular preventive maintenance, diagnostics, troubleshooting and repair of appliances, equipment, and accessories for a variety of facilities and systems at our Greenhills Operation. This is a full-time hourly position that offers an attractive 4x4 day shift schedule. Come experience what work life balance is all about!

The position is site-based at our operations in the Elk Valley, and the ability to reliably commute to or relocate near Elkford, B.C is necessary.

In this role you will:

- Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies

- Perform regular preventive maintenance, diagnostics and complete repairs on HVAC units, boilers and water and waste disposal systems

- Troubleshoot all system problems including disassemble and reassemble of system components

- Maintain, create and record work order records

- In certain components of this role, it is mandatory to wear a respirator which requires an interference free seal

Requirements:

- Valid Interprovincial Red Seal Plumber or Pipefitter certification

- Class B Gas Fitting certification (or higher)

- Willingness to pursue a certification as a Class A Gas fitter

- Small Water and Small Wastewater systems ticket would be an asset

- Valid driver’s license

- Working knowledge of basic computer systems (Microsoft Office®)

- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project specifications

- Ability to work independently or as part of a team and to work cross functionally between trades

- Experience in a mining environment is an asset

Hourly Wage: $ 53.78
