Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Plant Electrician for our Georgetown fabricating facility to install, maintain and repair all plant and production-related electrical systems. This role will actively respond to service requests, perform preventative maintenance and support facility infrastructure upgrades.
Responsibilities
•Install, maintain, repair and troubleshoot all electrical systems within the facility.
•Troubleshoot process issues and provide technical support to operations.
•Recommend equipment replacement and upgrades to management.
•Test malfunctioning equipment and communicate findings with management.
•Assist with the preparation and generating facility project specifications.
•Ensure proper use of required personal protective equipment at all times.
•Ensure all work complies with ESA and OHSA.
•Perform preventative maintenance in a timely manner.
•Support all efforts to improve safety and maximize productivity and efficiency.
•Provide on-call shift support to the afternoon shift when required.
•Assist Plant Manager with special projects and continuous improvement initiatives,
•Work in accordance with all health and safety policies and procedures.
•All other duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications
•442A or 309A certification.
•Minimum 5 years’ related experience.
•Highly proficient in identifying electrical and facility-related risks by carrying out preventative checks and inspections. Able to anticipate maintenance needs and address emergency issues.
•Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to make decisions under pressure.
•Proficient in reading electrical diagrams, schematics and technical documentation.
•Capable of calculating conduit and conductor sizes, overcurrent protection, and voltage drop for a range of industrial loads and voltage classes.
•Able to lift 50 lbs. throughout entire shift.
•Comfortable working at heights, on ladders and in tight spaces.
•Able to respond to emergency calls outside of regular work hours.
•Keen attention to detail and able to keep accurate records and documentation in accordance with ESA.
•Effective verbal and written communication skills.
•Strong ability to work independently as well as work well within a team and collaborate effectively.
•Time management/organization skills.
•Able to stand, bend and walk for extended periods.

Pay: $47.00-$49.00 per hour
