Project Overview:
Seeking an experienced PI Developer to upgrade and modernize approximately 200 legacy PI interfaces and implement system monitoring within PI Asset Framework. The role also supports Agile PI implementation projects and cross-functional coordination.
Responsibilities:
•Upgrade, backup/restore, and refresh PI infrastructure.
•Monitor PI server health using performance counters, tags, and dashboards.
•Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
•Provide production support, troubleshoot system performance and availability issues.
•Support Agile-based PI implementation and deliver technical solutions.
Skills & Qualifications:
•Extensive experience with OSIsoft PI Suite and industrial systems (e.g., OPC, RTACs, data historians).
•Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server environments.
•Proficient in system installation, configuration, and software debugging.
•Familiarity with Active Directory, DNS, NTFS permissions, Group Policy, and backup systems.
•Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and SQL scripting.
•Knowledge of change/configuration management, testing, and deployment processes.
•Ability to work in cross-functional teams and support enterprise-level technology projects.
Education & Experience:
•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
•6–8 years of experience with Aveva/OSI PI and related tools (e.g., GE APM, EtaPRO, SmartSignal).
