Plains is currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join the Technical Services Team, providing technical subject matter expertise to operations and project organizations. This role ensures compliance using engineering standards and industry best practices. The individual in this role may mentor early-career Engineers and travel to field and vendor locations, including international locations, may be required. The Technical Services Engineer is a subject-matter expert on rotating equipment, including pumps and turbomachinery, with a diverse workload and can expect changes in work priorities and multiple projects with short turnaround times.

+ Rotating equipment (pumps, turbomachinery, etc.). + Measurement equipment (meter skids, LACTs, and provers). + Materials (pipe, fittings, flanges) and valves. + Welding (API 1104 and ASME Section IX). + Preventive and predictive maintenance programs, including condition monitoring and vibration data review. + Technical Training to various departments. + Lead in troubleshooting mechanical equipment efforts. + Provide day-to-day support on other various reactive work. + Perform all other duties as assigned.
