About This Job

Summary Statement

Performs a variety of clerical and customer support tasks, accounting functions, and administrative work over the phone and in person, providing customer assistance, cashiering and payment processing, computer data processing, deposits, mail, estoppels and errands.


Responsibilities

Performs duties as assigned including but not limited to:

Performs Customer Service functions: answering phone calls, assisting customers at the front desk, provide assistance and information related to billing to customers, responds to routine questions, complaints and routing calls to correct location.

Receives and processes payments for utility bills/fees by electronic data file, phone, mail, drop box, and in person by cash, check, credit/debit card. Verifies customer information on accounts.
Process estoppel’s / account status reports to title companies or closing agents.
Receives, opens, processes, and/or distributes incoming mail and prepares outgoing mail.
Operates motor vehicle to pick up mail from post office, make bank deposits, or other errands as needed.
Customer database research and reconcile to other agency data systems.
Performs clerical tasks including; answering telephone, typing documents, making copies, sending/receiving faxes, filling documentation, or processing incoming outgoing mail.
Provides assistance to other employee or departments as needed.
Files and manages digital files and documents.
New customer account setup.


Education and Experience:

Graduation from a high school or GED equivalent and,
Minimum one (1) year experience in the performance of basic clerical and accounting duties, cash handling, and customer service experience.
Any equivalent combination of education and experience.


Key Competencies:

Ability to be highly organized, detail oriented and methodical with daily work.
Ability to accurately calculate and/or tabulate data
Ability to accurately add, subtract, multiply, and divide
Ability to correctly count monies and provide correct change
Ability to carry out verbal, written, or diagrammatic instructions. Involves semi-routine standardized work with some independent judgment.
Types 40 Words Per Minute
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products: Excel, Word, Outlook
Ability to communicate with customers/staff through e-mail, telephone and in person communication
Basic oral and written communications skills.
Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
Working knowledge and ability to use office equipment; computers, software, fax, copiers, telephone and calculator.
Pass a pre-employment physical along with a drug test.
Valid and current driver’s license and insurable for motor vehicle use.
Clear criminal history as to pertain to the duties of the job.
Submit to background check.


Job Type: Full-time


Pay: $20.69 - $33.08 per hour
