The Greenstone Mine commenced production in May 2024 and will be one of Canada's largest open-pit gold mines, with annual production expected to average nearly 400,000 ounces of gold per year for an initial 14-year mine life with additional potential from a large underground deposit. Greenstone Gold Mines LP is owned by Equinox Gold Corp, a Vancouver-based mining company with seven other operating mines in the United States, Mexico and Brazil.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Site Services & Projects Manager to join our team. Reporting to the Mine General Manager, the Site Services & Projects Manager will be responsible for overseeing the site services activities, the planning and execution of the sustaining and capital improvement projects and the overall accountability for the site wide continuous improvement initiatives.

This position is based in Geraldton, Ontario with travel to the mine site on a rotation basis.

Key Responsibilities

•

Clearly understand the project scope and drivers for the business and lead the planning, development, and implementation of site services activities, mine site sustaining and capital improvement projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

•

Oversee and manage overall site wide site services activities typical of a mid to large open pit mine (water management, waste management, roads, site and camp infrastructure, building management etc.).

•

Strong engagement with the management team and contribute to the development of mine strategies and overall direction.

•

Manage a team of engineers, project coordinators, and contractors, site services personnel and continuous improvement specialists.

•

Provide direction, mentorship, and performance management to ensure project goals are met.

•

Ensure projects are properly defined with a clear scope and are delivered within budget, on time and of high quality.

•

Ensure a strong safety culture.

Required Experience and Skill Set

•

15+ years of relevant professional work experience, including 3 years of experience in a mine setting an asset.

•

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
