Position

Millwright, Nunavut

Location and Reporting Structure

Reporting to the Supervisor, Mill Maintenance, this position will be a fly in- fly out 3x3 rotation based in Nunavut, Canada.

Responsibilities

- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on a variety of equipment, including but not limited to crushers, conveyors, pumps, screens, ball mills, vibrating screens, gearboxes, concentrators, and other fixed plant equipment;

- Under minimal supervision, troubleshoot mechanical issues and equipment failures, and carry out the necessary repairs;

- Assist in equipment installations, rebuilds, and overhauls;

- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals;

- Collaborate with mill operations and other trades to plan and execute maintenance activities in a safe and efficient manner;

- Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used;

- Operate hand and power tools, rigging equipment, and lifting devices safely; and

- Ensure work is performed in compliance with safety procedures, company standards, and environmental regulations.

Desired Competencies and Requirements

- Four (4) years’ post-qualification experience in an industrial or mining environment, preferably in gold or mineral processing;

- Experience working with pumps, gearboxes, crushers, mills, vibrating screens, concentrators, conveyors and alignment tools;

- Interprovincial Red Seal Industrial Mechanic Millwright certification or Nunavut Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) CoQ; and

- Proficiency in SAP CMMS and Microsoft Office Suite.

Compensation and Benefits

For informational purposes, the estimated annual earnings are $153,647.00 for 2184 scheduled hours (combined regular hourly rate of $55.75 and overtime rate of $83.63) in a work year.
