Job Summary: The Landscape Foreman will oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of landscaping projects, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standard. This role requires a well-rounded individual with extensive experience in paver installation, retaining walls, mulching, pruning, landscape installation, planting, and snow plowing. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Lead and supervise a team of landscapers in executing various landscaping projects.
- Plan and coordinate daily work schedules, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and within budget.
- Perform and oversee tasks such as mulching, pruning, planting, landscape installation, and snow plowing.
- Ensure that all work meets company standards for quality and safety.
- Train and mentor crew members, providing guidance and support to improve their skills and efficiency.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide updates on project progress.
- Maintain equipment and tools, ensuring they are in good working condition.
- Monitor and manage inventory of landscaping materials and supplies.
- Handle any on-site issues or emergencies with professionalism and promptness.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
- Proven experience as a Landscape Foreman or in a similar supervisory role.
- Extensive knowledge of landscaping techniques, including hardscaping, mulching, pruning, planting, plant identification, and landscape installation.
- Experience in snow plowing and winter landscape maintenance.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to read and interpret landscape designs and blueprints.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid drivers license; CDL preferred but not required.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
