We are seeking a motivated and reliable Land Survey Technician to join our dynamic survey team. This position offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience and start a rewarding career in land surveying. The ideal candidate will work closely with a skilled Crew Chief on a variety of survey projects and will have the potential for career advancement within the company.
- Assist with line locating and various field survey tasks
- Perform physical tasks such as clearing brush, digging with tools (shovels, picks), carrying and setting stakes, rebar, and other heavy equipment
- Support survey crew in setting up and operating a range of survey equipment
- Operate surveying instruments including measuring tapes, level rods, prism poles, and GNSS devices
- Maintain and ensure the proper functioning of survey equipment and vehicles
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor
- Basic understanding of land surveying principles
- Clean motor vehicle record and a valid driver’s license
- Willingness to travel overnight within Oklahoma, with weekends off
- Ability to work overtime and weekends when required
- Comfort working outdoors in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Physical stamina to stand, kneel, crouch, and work in various positions for extended periods
- Ability to navigate uneven terrain safely
- Must pass a DOT-required drug test
- Prior experience in land surveying is a plus but not required
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required
