Uranium Energy Corp is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Laboratory Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a research or industrial laboratory setting and possess a strong foundation in laboratory procedures. This role is crucial for supporting scientific research, conducting quality control, and ensuring the accuracy of laboratory results.
Responsibilities
•Provide accurate, dependable analysis of uranium concentrations from the wellfield through yellowcake utilizing ICPMS.
•Provide accurate, dependable analysis of elution fluids and waste streams.
•Under the supervision of the Senior Chemist, provide maintenance and troubleshooting support for plant and laboratory analytical instrumentation.
•Provide analytical support to verify and track chemical concentrations in elution. Based on analyses, provide elution fluid makeup "recipes" and "precipitation sheets" for plant personnel.
•Under the overall direction of the Plant Senior Superintendent and the Senior Chemist, provide recommendations to operators on elution fluid makeup and uranium precipitations.
•Maintain and track supply equipment needs for the laboratory and inform the Senior Chemist of the inventory.
•Assist in quality control processes to ensure the integrity of laboratory results.
•Collaborate and maintain all analytical instrumentation and support ongoing projects.
•Assist with "Wellfield" sample analysis when needed in accordance with EPA and TECQ requirements.
•Provide backup RST support. Includes some advice to primary RST for the site.
•Maintain all GPL policies and procedures.
Qualifications
•High school diploma and 5-7 years of laboratory experience.
•Preferred College diploma or university degree.
•Experience working in a laboratory environment, 1 to 3 years.
•Strong understanding of laboratory procedures and techniques.
•Familiarity with quality control processes in a laboratory setting.
•Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
•Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
•Good communication skills to effectively report findings and collaborate with colleagues.
•Proficient use of Microsoft Office.
•Have a valid driver's license.
