Job Overview

Gator Boring & Trenching, Inc. has been a licensed underground utility contractor for over 25 years, focusing on providing communities across the Southeast with water, power, and sewer through trenchless technology. We are seeking skilled Equipment Operators to join our team and help complete projects safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

•

Safely operate equipment, including excavators, loaders, and drills/ locators (if experienced in HDD).

•

Perform routine maintenance checks on machinery and report any issues, repairs, or damage.

•

Follow safety protocols and regulations at all times and stay alert, especially when working near people, roadways, and existing utilities.

•

Safely lift items with machinery (excavators/ loaders) by inspecting loads and rigging.

•

Secure and clean jobsite and equipment at the end of each day (dispose of trash/ debris in cab/ on site, lock equipment, etc.)

Requirements

•

Prior experience as an Equipment Operator - experience in HDD Industry is a plus

•

Strong mechanical knowledge related to the operation and maintenance of heavy machinery.

•

Good communication skills and Desire to Learn (on the job training is provided for new equipment)

•

Ability to work well with others.

•

Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety standards.

•

Valid driver's license (CDL preferred)

•

Access Military Installations (Able to pass background check)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
