We’re seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team in the planning and construction of water and wastewater treatment plants. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various types of heavy machinery, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to work collaboratively on construction sites.
The Operator must have a valid Driver's license and the ability to travel to the job site at Kewa Pueblo, NM.
Responsibilities
•Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, backhoes, and loaders to perform tasks including reading and setting elevations, grading, digging, and lifting materials.
•Assist in site preparation, including grading, excavation, and leveling for construction projects.
•Assist in the installation of water and wastewater systems by digging trenches and managing equipment for pipe laying.
•Perform site preparation, trenching, and grading to create foundations for utility installation, ensuring proper depth and alignment.
•Assist with the placement of materials and equipment.
•Perform work safely, by being aware of surroundings, other work being performed, and other workers on the job site.
•Collaborate with other crew members to coordinate tasks and ensure efficient project progress.
•Assist ground crews where needed.
Requirements:
•High School diploma or equivalent preferred
•Minimum of 3 years’ experience operating heavy machinery
•Construction experience with utilities or water/wastewater treatment preferred
•Good understanding of safety practices related to construction and excavation.
•General construction safety and trench safety guidelines.
•General understanding of construction means and methods.
•Good general math abilities
•Valid Driver's license and the ability to travel to the job site

Wage range*: $25-$35 / hour, plus project bonuses!
