You'll also provide mentorship, promote collaboration, and drive innovation in subsurface evaluation and data integration.
- Conduct regional technical evaluations and play fairway mapping using:
- 2D/3D seismic, well data, gravity/magnetic datasets, and published literature
- Generate and mature leads and prospects in deepwater depositional systems.
- Apply probabilistic volumetrics and play/prospect risking methodologies.
- Integrate with Commercial, RE, Planning, and HSE teams to assess above ground and technical risk.
- Review and present technical findings to internal leadership and stakeholders.
- Ensure seismic data integrity through close collaboration with seismic processors.
- Mentor staff in Quantitative Interpretation (QI) and subsurface workflows.
- Collaborate with stratigraphers, basin modelers and reservoir engineers to characterize reservoir quality, continuity, and trap integrity.
- Advanced seismic interpretation and amplitude analysis (AVO, inversion, etc.).
- Strong background in rock physics, including clastic and carbonate systems.
- Proficiency in Hampson-Russell or similar inversion toolkits.
- Experience in the application of QI workflows to deep water clastic systems.
- Skilled in probabilistic facies and geostatistical inversion techniques.
- Comfortable integrating well and seismic data into QI workflows.
