Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Laser Programmer to join our fabrication team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating, modifying, and optimizing CNC programs for laser cutting machines. This role requires a solid understanding of sheet metal design, fabrication processes, and CNC programming, with a strong emphasis on quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

•

Create and optimize CNC programs for laser machines using CAM software.

•

Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to develop accurate part programs.

•

Nest parts efficiently to minimize material waste and maximize machine productivity.

•

Collaborate with engineers, machinists, and production team to ensure programming meets quality and production requirements.

•

Maintain and update the programming database and tooling libraries.

•

Troubleshoot programming issues and recommend solutions to improve cut quality and machine performance.

•

Ensure compliance with safety and manufacturing standards.

•

REQUIREMENTS:

•

High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification in CNC programming or manufacturing technology preferred.

•

1+ years of experience programming laser machines preferred.

•

Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, GD&T, and technical drawings.

•

Experience with CAM software (TruTops or similar nesting and programming software).

•

Solid understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes and materials.

•

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

•

Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
