Job Description
This role is responsible for the Operator Training Simulator development by simulating the nuclear plant systems and components, including instrument & control systems, on an integrated software and hardware environment. This position performs simulator model development, simulator integration, simulator testing, simulator maintenance, and subcontract oversight.
Job Profile Tasks/Responsibilities
•Collaborate in planning, scheduling, and organization of detailed phases of engineering work.
•Collaborate in the technical oversight and direction of internal or external design teams.
•Facilitate and assist in the assessment of customer needs and captures requirements and functions of the electrical system for nuclear generating stations.
•Execute simulator assignments with clear and specified objectives; utilizes conventional specification and/or Interface Control Documents and plans.
•Recommend system design alterations and enhancements to improve quality of products and/or procedures from an assembly, transportation, construction, commissioning, operations, maintenance, and/or decommissioning perspective.
•Leads reviews and presentations for internal company design reviews and customer design reviews regarding simulator design.
•Organize engineering efforts in assigned areas between specialty and other engineering groups or disciplines, with the client, suppliers, contractors, or other groups as required.
•Develop/maintain plant simulation models.
•Develop the operator training simulator requirements.
•Conduct the operator training simulator verification and validation activities.
•Write simulator technical reports and testing reports.
•Create simulation models for electrical systems and components, e.g., generator, motor control center, transformer, voltage regulator, battery, circulator breaker, etc.
•Create electrical simulation network based on single-line diagrams and electrical loads.
•Review subcontractor technical reports and other deliverables.
•Maintain simulator hardware and software.
•Maintain simulator configuration control tools on GitLab.
•Maintain professional demeanor and behavior at all times in all forms of communication.
•Perform other duties as assigned by manager.
Job Profile Minimum Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/nuclear/electrical engineering or related degree from an accredited institution.
•In-depth knowledge of thermodynamics and fluid mechanics.
•Familiar with thermal power plant equipment and components.
•Familiar with piping and instrumentation diagram, and/or electric single-line diagram.
•Familiar with ANS/ANSI 3.5.

A reasonable estimate for this position at the level of experience required is:
$116,820- $149,270
