Position Summary: This position tests, calibrates, troubleshoots, repairs and assembles electrical mechanical products or assemblies used in products.
A. Review current assignments and plan their execution for maximum efficiency.
B. Confer with immediate supervisor to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.
A. Troubleshoot and repair of printed circuit boards, electronic components and motors.
B. Wire and build special controls, motors and gear motors.
C. Troubleshoot and repair new and returned products.
D. Calibrate controls and other products to company standards.
E. Assemble printed circuit boards and other EM products as directed.
G. Use hand tools including electric/pneumatic hand tools.
H. Assist with cleaning, packaging and transferring of finished products as directed.
I. Maintain and process documentation relevant to job assignment.
J. Use PC’s to download firmware and/or software to control devices.
A. Responsible for reading work instructions and accurately interpreting information required for production and quality assurance procedures.
B. Be familiar with tools, materials, methods and procedures.
C. Responsible for the accuracy and timely completion of all related paperwork.
D. Responsible for executing assigned tasks in a safe manner and according to company policy.
E. Be responsible and accountable for any and all tools and material issued to them and promptly reporting any damage to such.
F. Responsible for compliance with company policies and rules, regular attendance and the efficient use of time and materials.
G. Recommend new or different procedures, processes, materials and tooling that could improve the product or reduce costs.
A. Participate in periodic formal and informal training sessions to maintain and/or improve work related skills.
B. Perform and complete any other activities which may be associated, assigned or inherent with the position, including the training of co-workers temporarily or permanently assigned to a task that you are familiar or skilled.
I. Associates Degree in electronics or equivalent work experience.
II. Ability to receive, understand and execute verbal and written instructions.
III. Ability to measure accurately using micrometer, vernier calipers, etc.
V. Ability to perceive and distinguish colors accurately.
Vl. Ability to accurately use simple electrical and electronic testing equipment.
Vll. Ability to perform functions of the job outlined above without creating a threat to the safety of oneself or others.
l. Regularly required to stand, walk and push wheeled carts.
ll. Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel.
lll. Regularly required to reach with hands and arms.
V. May be required to sit, stoop, bend or crawl.
Vl. May be required to lift, carry and/or move up to 50 pounds.
l. Routinely exposed to manual, mechanical and automated equipment.
lll. Will be exposed to a moderate noise level.
lV. Safety eyewear required to be worn at all times.
V. Appropriate footwear is to be worn in production areas.
