The Dispatcher III – Shift Lead is responsible for overseeing night shift logistics and transportation activities to support safe and efficient operations. This role involves real-time monitoring of driver activity, transportation planning, and effective communication with vendors and internal field/office personnel. The ideal candidate will have experience in oilfield operations and transportation management systems and demonstrate strong leadership, time management, and organizational skills.
- Lead nightly dispatch operations, ensuring the safe and efficient transport of materials, production water, and service-related tasks.
- Assign, track, and document workflows using systems such as Gemini, Open Invoice/Open Ticket, Airtable, and Excel.
- Maintain effective and timely communication with vendors, field operations, office personnel, and support teams.
- Coordinate job orders received via phone, email, or work order software for hauling/disposal of waste, production water, or service requests.
- Monitor and verify driver activity and ensure accurate data recording within operational systems.
- Maintain updated contact and job status records through voice/text communication and daily email reports.
- Create and manage a current log of all in-progress and completed work.
- Resolve discrepancies and operational issues promptly to avoid downtime or production delays.
- Align vendor expectations and work outputs with contract requirements.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
- Prior experience in dispatch, logistics coordination, or transportation planning, preferably in an oilfield or industrial setting.
- Proficiency with transportation management tools such as Gemini, Open Invoice/Open Ticket, Airtable, and Excel.
- Strong leadership and shift supervision capabilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Willingness and ability to work night shifts and a 7-on / 7-off rotation.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in logistics or operations is a plus.
