Job Summary

The Assistant Treasurer will support the Treasurer in managing CenterPoint’s financial activities, focusing on daily operations of multiple functions within the Treasury Department including cash management, capital markets corporate credit, investment management, and financial compliance.

Essential Functions

Education Description

+ CTP, CFA, or CPA preferred + M.B.A. or Masters of Accounting preferred

Experience

+ Exposure to utilities + Understanding of the equity and fixed income capital markets, disclosure regulations, and communications to the investment community + Experience in the preparation of financial schedules and SEC disclosures + Experience in preparing cash forecasts and cash flow analyses/metrics + Extensive experience in building complex financial models to evaluate various financial instruments and plans + Experience in presenting and preparing proposals to recommend new products/services + Experience is managing bank and credit rating agency relationships
