Position Summary
: The DevOps Engineer will play a critical role in supporting and advancing the cloud and on-prem based infrastructure. This position will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including Software Development, Engineering, and Networking—to design, implement, and enhance scalable and secure solutions aligned with industry best practices. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise in cloud-hosted platforms, infrastructure automation, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, and observability. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential to influence decisions, create clear documentation, and foster a collaborative culture. Additional responsibilities may be assigned to support evolving mission objectives and stakeholder needs.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities•Design, develop, and maintain scalable, developer-centric infrastructure to support dynamic and continuous software development workflows
•Deploy software and tooling using Kubernetes, Helm, and Docker
•Integrate DevOps/Cybersecurity tools, services, and best practices into the existing infrastructure on AWS using Terraform to improve automation, security, and reliability.
•Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, training materials, and presentations to support integration efforts and knowledge transfer across teams.
•Contribute to the enhancement and automation of current DevOps/Cybersecurity procedures by recommending and implementing innovative tools and approaches for pipelines and automation.
•Perform development and administrative tasks in a Linux-based environment, ensuring robust system administration
•Deploy and maintain virtualized environments
•Implement and maintain observability and monitoring solutions using tools such as Datadog to ensure system performance and reliability.
•Manage software and deployment versioning to ensure consistent and reliable releases.
•Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including software, systems, and safety—to define project scope, technical requirements, and deliverables.
•Perform other duties assigned to support mission-critical objectives and team priorities.
Other Requirements
•5+ years of experience with DevOps Development and/or Administration for Enterprise-level entities.
•Strong understanding of DevOps principles and implementation of security best practices in tool and service development.
•Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to address project challenges.
•Demonstrated time management and organizational skills to meet tight deadlines and quality objectives.
•Experienced with Git-based platforms for version control, collaboration, and CI/CD integration.
•Skilled in integrating automated testing (unit, integration, etc.) into CI/CD pipelines.
•Comfortable scripting or developing automation in a programming language (Typescript, Go, Python)
•Proficient in Linux-based environments for development and system administration.
•Hands-on experience with AWS, provisioning, managing, and scaling cloud infrastructure on live production platforms using Terraform.
