Job Overview

A key enabler of Mainspring’s mission is the ability of its team to develop and execute on key growth strategies required to substantially grow sales as data center load growth drives the future economy. This includes developing the required strategies and executing high total-contract-value transactions with strategic partners and customers in the data center market. Mainspring seeks Business Development Director to develop and execute these critical customer and partnership opportunities, and bring Mainspring’s unique capabilities in emissions performance, scalability, and fuel flexibility to unlock more compute capacity.

You will be responsible for supporting all aspects of strategy and execution for the data center market. Success in this role requires a high level of competency in the data center space and what drives the developers/owners in the way of design and siting, as well as technical needs for energy and resiliency, to win business in this dynamic market.

We generally do not negotiate on salary once we have made an offer. The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job-related factors that may include location, relevant prior experience and/or education, or particular skills and expertise. New hires joining the company tend to be paid within the starting base pay range noted above, with opportunities to increase pay over time based on development of additional skills, competencies, and company-specific knowledge.

This position is remote. Compensation is determined by multiple factors, including location, experience, internal equity, skillset, education, and professional certifications. The listed salary range represents the base salary, with typical compensation in the U.S. ranging from $190,000 – $225,000, plus bonus eligibility. Mainspring offers pre-IPO stock options, a comprehensive benefits package—including 401(k) and paid time off—to support work-life balance.
