GroundWork seeks a Data Analyst to further GroundWork’s strategic product direction by supporting the GroundWatch™ data quality program. GroundWatch is a quality assurance program that includes energy systems, technology-enabled services, IoT devices and data. The ideal candidate will possess deep industry knowledge of energy and/or meteorological datasets and the operational needs of utility-scale developers and owners.
As a Data Analyst, you will work closely with GroundWork’s subject matter experts and department leaders to develop, review, analyze, troubleshoot and report on data and data products in order to exceed customer expectations and align with the company’s mission and strategy. This role requires a dynamic, results-driven individual to work with existing functional departments to drive excellence in work deliverables and superior customer outcomes.
- Technical Leadership: Develop and execute data analysis tasks that generate insights for customers based on a deep technical understanding. Use data analysis tools, including no-code data visualization (Graphana) and programming languages (Python).
- Attention to Detail: Deliver excellent work products (data packages, analytical reports, executive summary reports) within required deadlines.
- Work Prioritization: Collaborate with team members to prioritize competing customer requests.
- Continuous Improvement: Use data analysis tools to improve current processes and collaborate with team members to deliver improvements through change management best practices.
- Cross Organization Collaboration: Advocate for the highest quality deliverables with sales and account management, identify and document areas of improvement for software and hardware products.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in data analytics or data science, preferably in SaaS, data, technology and renewable energy.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, meteorology, atmospheric Science, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Proven ability to analyze and derive business insights from data and data products in competitive markets.
- Strong attention to detail and collaboration with team members of both technical and non-technical backgrounds.
- Interest in developing one-to-many presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Analytical mindset with a data-driven approach to problem-solving.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and product development lifecycle.
- Comfortable with emerging technologies, digital tools, and data analytics to optimize product development processes and decision-making.
