Job Summary:
The Assistant Superintendent will support the Superintendent in overseeing all field operations for Multifamily Residential projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and according to quality standards. The initial role will specifically involve assisting with a $50,000,000, 200-unit multifamily project. The Assistant Superintendent will help coordinate job site activities, manage subcontractors, enforce safety protocols, and ensure high-quality workmanship while gaining hands-on experience in construction management.
Key Responsibilities:
•Site Support: Assist the Superintendent in overseeing daily construction site operations, ensuring smooth workflow and coordination between trades.
•Scheduling Assistance: Help track project schedules and ensure subcontractors adhere to timelines, reporting any potential delays to the Superintendent.
•Subcontractor Coordination: Work with subcontractors to ensure their work aligns with plans and specifications, addressing issues as they arise.
•Quality Control: Assist in conducting site inspections to verify work meets company standards and contract requirements. Identify and document deficiencies.
•Safety Compliance: Support enforcement of all safety policies and OSHA regulations. Help conduct safety meetings and monitor site conditions.
•Material & Equipment Management: Help manage material deliveries, track inventory, and ensure proper equipment use on-site.
•Communication & Reporting: Provide updates to the Superintendent and Project Manager regarding site conditions, progress, and any issues requiring attention.
•Problem-Solving & Issue Resolution: Assist in identifying site challenges and work with the Superintendent to develop proactive solutions.
•Project Closeout Support: Help with punch list completion, final inspections, and the transition to occupancy.
Qualifications:
•Experience: 1-3 years of construction field experience preferred, ideally in multifamily residential projects or commercial construction.
•Education: High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is a plus.
+ Basic understanding of construction trades, scopes of work, and industry best practices.
+ Ability to read blueprints and construction documents.
+ Familiarity with
construction scheduling software (Procore, MS Project, or similar) is a plus.
+ Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
+ Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
+ Willingness to learn and take initiative.

+ Regular on-site presence at project locations.
+ Ability to work extended hours when necessary.
+ Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.
