Summary

We are seeking an Accounting Clerk to join our dynamic team at BryMak & Associates. This role is essential for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting our operations in the commercial plumbing and HVAC sectors. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and committed to delivering high-quality work. This position reports directly to the CFO

Responsibilities

•

Responsible for ordering all Commercial and some Government materials, ensuring we only order materials we don’t already have in stock (Commercial).

•

Responsible for issuing Purchase Orders and maintaining the PO logs for Commercial and Government jobs (excluding credit cards and Justice Center). This includes reviewing logs to ensure completeness and accuracy (e.g. missing paperwork for new vendors and amounts for NTE POs).

•

Responsible for entering Purchase Orders into Quickbooks for all Commercial and Government jobs (excluding credit cards) within 24 hours of PO being issued, with accurate account coding and descriptions.

•

Assist Accounts Payable with cleaning up Open PO’s, reviewing statements, and filing.

•

Update Commercial WIP reports bi-weekly.

•

Assist CFO with month-end accounting duties such as reconciling bank accounts, updating Fixed Asset listings and recording depreciation expense, etc.

•

Perform general office duties including answering phones, answering front door, mail distribution, and bank deposits.

•

Other projects assigned.

Requirements

•

Two years of college level classes

•

Completion of Accounting I or similar introductory accounting class

•

Basic understanding of debits, credits, and Trial Balance

•

Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Excel, and Word)

•

Strong verbal, written and communication skills

•

Ability to multitask and manage shifting priorities and deadlines with attention to detail and an ability to work both independently and in a team environment

•

Good problem solving, communications, interpersonal, analytical and time management skills required
